by | May 6, 2025

Max Weiland delivered another remarkable performance in Mooresville, NC after finishing P2 during his last race.

This time, at the USPKS Carolina Grand Prix, Max raced from 20th position to 1st to clinch the X30 Junior Final.

Racing with a Checkered Motorsports and Magik Kart USA Team that had his kart dialed in, Max was forced to overcome adversity before making his run in the Final.

After racing for the lead in the previous two heats, a mechanical issue in Heat 3 dropped Max’s starting position for the Final to P12.

By Turn 1, he dropped as far as P20 before making his move. Max methodically navigated his way through the field from there, making one pass after another while charging for the win.

By the end of the 22-lap race, Weiland would secure the victory.

Earlier in the weekend, Max and his teammates also showcased strong performances in KA Junior, securing P1, P2, and P3 in the heats.

Max finished the KA Final in P2, demonstrating his consistent pace in each category throughout the event.

Max and his team will look to build on this winning weekend with another positive performance in the SKUSA Pro Tour Series event in Ohio later this month.

Big thanks to Magik Kart USA and Checkered Motorsports. Robert and Andrew Bujdoso, Conrad Grunewald, AJ Myers, Peppo, and the entire team.
