Max Weiland started the 2025 SKUSA Pro Tour season fast in Houston, Texas, and never slowed down. During the next two events in Cincinnati and Indianapolis, Weiland continued to put it on pole and race for the win against a deep and talented group of international drivers. After six rounds of racing, Max secured P2 in the X30 Junior championship and P3 in KA Junior for the SKUSA Pro Tour Series overall standings. Below is a recap.
Mar 28 – 30: WinterNationals – Speedsportz Racing Park (Houston, Texas)
With his family and team cheering him on, Max charged from 12th to 3rd in the KA100 PreFinal. He then moved from 3rd to 2nd in a red-flag-shortened Final, showing tremendous pace amongst a strong field of international drivers.

After Saturday’s terrific result, Sunday brought even more action. Punted on his final flyer in KA Jr qualifying, Max was forced to start P23 in the PreFinal. He responded by passing 12 karts during the 10-lap race to move up to 11th.
Gridded P11 for the Final, Weiland’s Magik Kart USA-Checkered Motorsports KA took off like a rocket as the green flag waved. In the Final, Max went 11-12-9-8-7-5-6-5. During lap 17 of 20, Max moved into P4. On Lap 19, he moved up two more positions to finish second.
May 23-25: SpringNationals – Motorsports Country Club (Cincinnati, OH)
The second stop of the SKUSA Pro Tour at the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati was another successful weekend for Max and the Magik Kart USA Team.
Combined in both classes, Weiland earned one Pole Position, two second-place finishes, and four podiums overall. In KA Jr, he qualified P2 of 46 and finished P3 in the Final–just .197 seconds from the win. In X30 Jr., Max qualified P2 of 34 and finished the Final P2.
Max also earned pole position in KA but was DQ’d due to a technical issue, which put a dent in the season championship aspirations. But still a very fun and exceptional weekend of racing.
July 25-27: SummerNationals – New Castle Motorsports Park (Indianapolis, IN)
Max closed out the SKUSA Pro Tour at New Castle Motorsports Park with strong drives in both KA100 Junior and X30 Junior. On Saturday, he moved from P19 to P8 in the KA PreFinal before a mechanical issue forced a DNF in the Final.
In X30, Max grabbed pole position, won the PreFinal, and finished P2 in the Final.
